Nearly 21 years ago the phone rang in the middle of the night. It was Julia’s sister, phoning from Hong Kong, letting us know that her first child, Meaghan, had just been born.

Over the years she has come down to stay with us during the summer so we were very excited to hear from her at the weekend saying that she wanted to visit us for a few days. The girls especially so….they both really look up to her which is great as she’s such a good role model.

An early D&D fish and chips dinner and then home to catch up on stories of university life, shed celebs and travel plans.
