Last night Lisa’s family, our family and a few of the guests went out for a Chinese and then back to the pub for a few drinks. Unfortunately about thirty gypsy folk had also decided to visit the pub and, even with persuasion from the police, didn’t leave until 3.30am. Jonny was a little stressed to say the least and come the morning he was doing a really good impression of a headless chicken. So we all pulled together to get the final bits done and by midday calm had been resumed….well I say calm….The wedding day nerves weren’t obvious anyway. Just after lunch we all headed over to the Horniman Museum, an excellent venue with great views of the city … The sun was shining, the bandstand looked great. Lisa arrived in a horse drawn carriage and after a beautiful, quite emotional, ceremony we all got on a 1950’s double decker routemaster and headed back to the pub for the reception. A really good party….The band were ace (although our version of ‘you look good on the dancefloor’ is much better) and we all had a good boogie….even Joe…in fact we couldn’t get him off the dancefloor. All in all a really great day.
