I had to have a lie in this morning as I’m fighting some lurgee we have brought here with us. In hindsight, staying up until 2.00am last night putting the world to right with Richard probably wasn’t the best thing I could have done. Anyway, dosed up on paracetamol and coffee I rallied and we spent the morning in a kayak out on the fjord fishing.

This afternoon the plan was to do a bit of swimming. The King of Norway has his Bergen residence just a ten minute walk from R&K’s house and his grounds are open to the public. It’s quite strange that you can walk around his gardens, even look through his windows (it was very posh and looked like a set from a Poirot) and swim in his fjord. A lovely afternoon in the sun and a great way to round off our short break….home tomorrow.
