I’ve never kept a diary/journal before and overall blip has been a really good experience. I’ve enjoyed the creative and Zen like side of looking for beauty and an interesting pic. Looking back and reading earlier entries, knowing how I felt at the time and what I was thinking makes it seem just like yesterday…… On the other hand, all those entries documenting changing seasons, changing faces somehow makes a year seem like a long, long time.  Blipping has made me realise just how busy our lives can be at times and also, being creatures of habit, highlighted the things we do week in, week out to keep that hamster wheel turning…. If anything though, blipping has encouraged me to see more and, possibly, do more so I could avoid having to post another ‘got up, went to work, came home’ blip….and for that it’s been great.

It’s also been great to be able to dip in and out of peoples lives…people I’ll probably never meet but with whom I feel have formed some kind of virtual friendship with.

Anyway, I set out to do a year, buy the book and put it on the shelf for the kids to find when they are older….perhaps for them to even show their own kids. So, that being done, I’m going to give it a rest for a while ….. Although I’m sure I’ll be back at some point to do it again.

Well if you had a listen to what I recorded this afternoon you’d think it had died already. On the positive side I did manage to record something…. and there are worse ways to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Football this morning for Joe and I…away to Chesterton…it was another tight game with the boys winning 1-0. The girls opting for a pyjama day.

After a bit of shopping for provisions, which included the best sausage roll [u]ever[/u] from Matt, it was home to chill. I say chill…it did involve a spot of gardening and battling with the laptop for a while which, for some reason, has become stubbornly ineffective.

Dinner, wine and Saturday evening TV will do just fine to round the day off.

But thankfully Jules is back tonight …. we’ve all missed her and she’s glad to be home, albeit for a couple of days. By the sounds of it Bin Bag is feeling much better and will hopefully get to go home next week. Jules will be back up there on Monday to help get things set up to facilitate this.

Before then a weekend to enjoy….

Jules is still in Yorkshire with her Mum…we should find out more tonight.

This afternoon I managed to leave work early to get back for Sal’s Egyptian dance routine and see all the stuff they’ve been doing today at school.

Anyway, we learnt about planets, stars, constellations and galaxies before heading out to look at Andromeda through the Northumberland Telescope….the biggest and most advanced telescope of its type…..back in 1846. Some of the girls were lucky enough to see the ‘fuzzy splodge’ others just saw blackness….all were equally excited.

Jules, on the other hand, has been busy all day preparing for the Craft Club she is running at Sal’s school tomorrow.
