I threw away our gas bbq at the beginning of summer with a view to replacing it immediately…..however, indecision reigned and I couldn’t choose whether to go for charcoal or gas…..to the point where we still don’t own a bbq. Tonight we used the fire pit, my father’s day present, for the first time and adapted it into a bbq. We smoked out the neighbours down wind for about 30mins, then after nearly burning the sausages and chicken, had to finish the steak and rest of the sausages off in the griddle on the hob. Whilst fun, I think I’ll probably get a gas barbie.

We did, however, have fire pit jumping fun…..which isn’t so good with a gas barbie……
