What a pleasant surprise! After yesterday’s rain, to wake this morning to blue sky and bright sunshine. Jules and I had a quick trip into Pateley for supplies and a pork pie each (not the healthiest of breakfasts but they do make a good pork pie at Kendalls).

Back home to rally everyone for a walk and make the most of this break in the weather. In true Yorkshire fashion though, the sky turned from blue to grey and within half an hour we were getting a good soaking. Lots of blip opportunities…. swollen rivers, waterfalls, derelict barns but I plumped for this one… the view from the church at Middlemoor.
